Strategic Planning & Consulting

MAAS supports institutions through all phases of institutional to departmental level strategic planning. The strategic planning process for each client or institution is designed around that organization’s culture and needs. The process used is tailored to the unique needs of an institution, but generally follows a “Phased Approach”.  For higher education Clients, this typically includes:

Process Design - Our Team conducts extensive interviews with faculty, staff, students, alumni, trustees and others through which we will gain an understanding of the institution's culture and the strategic issues it faces.

Prepare a Strategic Issues Summary - Invite a broad based participatory process that explores responses to the strategic questions raised in the Process Design phase.

Prepare a Strategic Agenda - Prepare a document describing the institutional strategic vision, mission and core values and the overarching goals and objectives

Design Operational Planning - Assist in the design of a process that operationalizes the strategic agenda with specific programs, budgets, time-lines, resources necessary to implement each strategic initiative. Generally included is a measurement system for determining if the strategic goals and objectives have been successfully implemented.

Implementation Plan - Our Team assists client institutions with implementation in areas that need support from organizational development, financial restructuring, operational design and business process redesign and technology planning, design, selection and implementation.
