Guardian Scholars

This initiative provides scholarships, mentoring, and essential support services to college students who have aged out of the foster care system. We’re proud to support these scholars, helping them navigate the challenges of higher education and empowering them to achieve their academic and career goals. By investing in the students of Cypress College, we’re not just contributing to their education—we’re helping to build the next generation of leaders who will continue to strengthen our communities.

That’s why we sponsor scholarships across the college districts where we work, including the Dr. Michael Maas Memorial Endowed Scholarship at Riverside Community College District. Over the past 10 years, this scholarship has supported over 20 students excelling in math or science, helping them pursue their educational goals. This scholarship honors Dr. Michael Maas, our founder, whose legacy of dedication to education and community development continues to inspire us.
