President and Chief Executive Officer
Lori O’Keefe is a leader with more than 30 years of experience in the education sector,
bringing a rare combination of instructional insight and executive leadership to MAAS
Companies. She began her career as an elementary school teacher, grounding her
work in a deep understanding of how educational environments shape student
opportunity. This early experience continues to inform her strategic approach to
planning, development, and client service.
Over the course of her tenure at MAAS, Lori has played an instrumental role in

led the company’s Master Planning Division, successfully completing 12 educational
master plans for community colleges throughout the state. Her leadership in this domain
strengthened MAAS’ reputation for integrated planning and long-range facilities
development.
Following her success in master planning, Lori advanced to Vice President of
Administration & Planning, where she oversaw organizational strategy and operational performance. In 2012, she assumed the role of President after the passing of the company’s founder—her father, Dr. Michael Maas—continuing the family’s legacy of
excellence and client-centered service.
One year later, Lori led a transformational milestone, guiding MAAS’ transition to a
100% employee-owned company. Since becoming President and CEO, she has
championed sustainable growth, strengthened client partnerships, and cultivated a
culture rooted in accountability, ownership, and service. Under her leadership, MAAS
has continued to thrive as a leading program and construction management firm
specializing in the California education sector.
