Connected to the newly opened Veterans Resource Center (VRC), the renovated Student Life and Leadership (SLL) building (formerly the Student Activities Center) now houses the International Students Program as well as new meeting spaces for the student body and student governance clubs. The SLL and VRC serve more than 16,000 students, 900 of whom identify as veterans or are affiliated with the military.

This center is the largest VRC in Southern California and offers educational and support services for veterans as they transition from active military duty back into both civilian and student life. The building design features glass paneling to allow for full views to the outside, and houses counselors’ offices, a private patio, common room, conference space, a study lounge, and a computer lab. The VRC project also includes a Tribute Garden, Memorial Bridge, and an Outdoor Event Plaza.
